For December, January, and February, we are rockin’ some slightly shortened hours: 9am-3pm Mon-Thurs, and 8am-3pm Fri-Sun. Back to regular hours (8am-4pm daily) on March 1st! And YES! we will be open New Year’s Day!!

No online coupon sites are needed to get a great deal at the Detour. On Tuesdays, Bloody Marys are only $6 and mimosas are only $5 all day long, and on Wednesdays, buy one egg sandwich and get the second one for half price! Perfect for mid-week breakfast or lunch with a pal. In other news, we’ve recently remodeled the patio–now you can eat yummy Detour food al fresco even when it’s raining!

Woo hoo! Dinner is on Thursday, May 26 at 7pm. The cost is only $25, which includes gratuity and nonalcoholic beverages. We’ll have a full wine and cocktail list too. You (yes, YOU!) are invited…but you need reservations. Call us (503-234-7499) or shoot us an email (firstname.lastname@example.org) to make your reservations, or with any questions. The menu is vegetarian and will include our spring vegetable lasagna.
Important: the dinner is being held at our sister cafe, Ford Food + Drink. FF+D is located at SE 11th and Division in the historic Ford Building. See you there!

We’re not able to take more reservations for the first January Family dinner, at Detour Cafe on Friday, January 14; but do not despair! We are hosting another dinner, with the same delicious menu, at our second cafe, Ford Food + Drink, on Thursday, January 20. Family Dinner is Back!

We’ve been incredibly busy over the last few months, opening a second cafe, Ford Food + Drink, at SE 11th and Division. What a thrill! And now that FF+D is up and running, we are ready to reinstate our monthly dinners–in a big way. As you’ll recall, our family dinners are held once a month and are open to everyone in the Detour family. Every dinner has a theme, there is one seating, and everyone sits together at one big table. It’s a great opportunity to meet new people or catch up with old friends. $35 covers a beautiful four-course meal, wine, and gratuity. Remember: reservations are required.
This year, we’ve got some exciting new additions to announce. Most importantly, we’ll be presenting TWO family dinners each month–one at the Detour, and one at Ford Food + Drink. We have scheduled the dates and selected the themes for six months of dinners–January through June 2011. At the Detour dinners, the seating will be at one big table, as before. At the Ford dinners, you’ll be able to reserve a seat at the big farm table, OR reserve smaller tables for groups of two to four.
Our theme for all of these dinners is to celebrate our love of cookbooks. We have pored over our collection, and selected six of our favorite cookbooks; each month focuses on one of them.
